Several players have discovered a bug in Arknights: Endfield that turns all characters in the game blue skin. The issue has led to some confusion, with players initially believing the blue appearance might be an intentional part of the game’s space-themed story.
Japanese X user Hatomugi shared their experience with the bug after spending several hours playing the game. They explored Talos-II and built automated factories without realizing anything was wrong. Given Endfield’s strong space opera setting, Hatomugi thought the blue-skinned Endministrator and Perlica characters in the tutorial were meant to look that way, comparing the aesthetic to demons from Shinra Bansho Chocolate and the animated film Interstella 5555.
ありだろ!) pic.twitter.com/TSaRvbn2j6

The player only started questioning things when Perlica handed the Endministrator a blue apple during a cutscene. Even then, Hatomugi initially dismissed it, reasoning that if all the characters were blue, apples could be blue too in this game’s universe.
Based on screenshots shared by affected players, the bug appears to cause a color shift that goes beyond just character skin tones. The 2D illustrations, 3D models, outfits, weapons, and accessories all display altered colors. The game’s UI elements are also affected—normally yellow menu items in the operator and friend screens turn blue as well.

This isn’t an isolated incident. Another Japanese X user reported the same bug and suggested it might be connected to an Intel graphics driver update they installed before launching the game. According to their report, rolling back to a previous driver version fixed the problem. The blue skin bug joins a growing list of technical issues players have encountered during Endfield’s first week, though this particular glitch has generated more amusement than frustration among the community.
