HUAWEI Consumer Business Group officially introduces their best selfie smartphone ever – Huawei nova 2 Plus just a few moments ago. While retaining the same simplicity of the original Nova series, HUAWEI nova 2 Plus refines even more in looks and feel.

HUAWEI nova 2 Plus features a 5.5-inch screen and metallic unibody as thin as 6.99mm. It is equipping a Kirin 659 Octa-core Processor, 4GB RAM and 3340 mAh battery, which means gaming whole day will probably not a problem.

Since selfies have become a huge trend now, the phone comes with 20MP front camera along with 3D facial recognition and skin enhancement. The front camera comes with a bokeh effect, you can blur out everything behind you for a portrait-like selfie. Even if you are in low-light conditions, there will be an LCD screen flash with 11 color temperatures (for different degrees of illumination). Your beauty shines anywhere!

Audio experience (especially for gaming) is getting important these days, and HUAWEI nova 2 Plus has put their focus on improving audio performance. Its AK4376a HiFi chips will minimize all the disturbances so you could enjoy theatre-quality HiFi music. Other than 3D stereo surround effect, the phone supports aptX wireless Bluetooth technology, offering a more synchronized image and sound experience.

I’ve got a little hands-on on the Aurora-blue model, selfie-ing with the bokeh effect is a pleasing experience. So far all the games (including Mobile Legends and Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed) I tried on the phone runs perfectly without a glitch. The device didn’t heat up even after a whole hour of gaming, its battery life is able to last long too.

As an addition, HUAWEI also teases an upcoming smartphone – nova 2i to launch in September. From all we know, it will have flagship beating specs and possibly four-camera setup. Can’t wait to see more details of it!
