Tales of Crestoria don’t have an exact release date yet, but it is confirmed that it will come to both iOS and Android in 2019.

In the recent official developer blog, Tagawa the producer of Tales of Crestoria answers some questions related to the story of game.

Why not work on a story with ONLY new characters?

This is the first “Tales of” game coming to smartphone. And it will be picked up cassually by all the “Tales of” series fans, as well as new players who are not familiar with the IP. We created the story to make it enjoyable for both fans and newcomers.

We created the story in a way that new players that are not familiar with the IP can still pick up the game easily. We also take the chance and let new players to learn about series characters.

Crestria’s scenario can be roughly classified into two.

Main story

The main character “Kanata” meets his friends, and the relationship and story between them will grow from scratch.

Gaiden story

A new story drawn by “friends” who help the adventures of Kanata on the way, outside the main story.

“Main Story” is the typical “Tales of” story setting. The main protagonist Kanata will be the center of the story.

Our new and interesting attempt on the Gaiden Story will let players explore the story setting outside of the main storyline. There will be a ot of compelling story and dramas that our main character do not know.

Tales of Crestoria will have a global version, and will have a lot of Tales Series feature in the game.
