Aniimo, the upcoming creature-catching open-world RPG, will officially launch as a free-to-play title on September 16, 2026. Since the game is free-to-play, the base version available through the ongoing pre-order campaign will not cost players anything. Aniimo will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, PC, and mobile.
Ahead of launch, the developers have opened an Advanced Edition Pre-Order Pack, which includes a set of in-game rewards for players who sign up early. Players interested in the pre-order rewards have a limited window to claim them, as the pre-order period is set to close just before the game’s official launch.

The pack contains an in-game accessory called the Fluffy Friend, which is listed as a PlayStation pre-order exclusive item. It also includes an Advanced Companion Handbook, a type of in-game battle pass. The Handbook comes with a Companion Handbook-Exclusive Prismana Aniimo Egg, which can be used at the Outpost Hatchinator to hatch a Prismana Form Aniimo with Perfect Potential, along with a Companion Handbook-Exclusive Evolution Material, which is used for the branching evolution of the Companion Handbook-Exclusive Aniimo. Additional in-game items and benefits are also included as part of the Handbook.
It is noted that rewards in the Advanced Companion Handbook are unlocked gradually as the Handbook’s level increases. Once redeemed, the Handbook remains active until the end of the current game version. They also clarified that the Companion Handbook-Exclusive Prismana Aniimo Egg may vary depending on the version, meaning the actual item players receive will depend on which version they redeem it in.
Aniimo itself is described as a free-to-play, next-gen creature-catching open-world RPG set on the continent of Idyll, where players encounter creatures known as Aniimo. A key feature of the game is the ability to Twine with these creatures, letting players take on their forms and abilities to explore the world from a new perspective, solve puzzles, and take on battles and challenges. Players can also travel to a floating metropolis in the sky to meet other Pathfinders, trade stories, and take part in competitive battles.
Ahead of the full release, the developers had already given players an early look at Idyll through a second closed beta test held in late 2025, offering a taste of Twining and exploration before the game’s full launch.
