ASUS Malaysia has announced a major upgrade to how it takes care of its customers after they buy a laptop, as the company looks to strengthen its position as the country’s leading brand for quality and service. The update brings together tougher durability testing, longer warranty protection, a bigger service network, and a new set of perks called ASUS ProCare.
According to the company, every ASUS laptop now goes through as many as 34 durability tests before it reaches customers. These tests are meant to mimic real world wear and tear, including a drop test that checks whether a laptop can survive falls from about 100cm, which is roughly desk height. There is also an extreme temperature test that checks how the laptop holds up in conditions as cold as -33°C and as hot as 55°C, which the company says covers situations like a laptop being left in a car under the Malaysian sun or in freezing weather elsewhere. Other tests include a water spill test to see how well the keyboard keeps liquid away from internal parts, a pressure test to check how much weight the chassis can take without damaging the screen or components, and a vibration test that simulates the shaking a laptop might go through on bumpy roads or while strapped to a motorcycle.

On top of the standard 2 year international warranty, ASUS is now including a 2 year Perfect Warranty that covers local accidental damage. This applies to every ASUS and ROG laptop launched after July 28. It means that if a laptop is dropped, gets liquid spilled on it, or suffers damage from an electrical surge, the repair costs are covered under this added protection.

The company is also making it easier for customers to get help when something goes wrong. ASUS says it now has more than 1000 service points across Malaysia, along with support available in over 90 countries and regions worldwide. Customers can drop off their laptop at an authorized ASUS Service Center or a Pos Malaysia branch for repairs. There is also a Pick-up and Return service, where ASUS arranges for a courier to collect the laptop from the customer’s home and deliver it back once the repair is done.
For buyers of ASUS’s higher end laptops, the company is introducing a new program called ASUS ProCare. This applies to new ProArt, Zenbook, Vivobook S, and ROG laptops launched after July 28. Under ProCare, customers get access to a free Unlimited 360 Cleaning and Maintenance service. This covers a 10 step process that includes checking and tightening external hardware, running internal diagnostics, cleaning out dust, reapplying thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, cleaning the exterior, optimizing the cooling system, reinstalling the operating system if needed, running post maintenance checks, testing overall system stability, and assessing battery health. ProCare members also get Priority Service, which gives them a dedicated lane at authorized ASUS Service Centers so they can skip the usual queues.

Speaking on the announcement, Li Huaipin, Business Development Manager of ASUS Malaysia, said a laptop’s value is not just about how it performs on the day it is bought, but how well it continues to perform over time. He added that by combining strict quality testing with extended accidental damage coverage, a large service network, and the new ProCare program, the company wants users to have a worry free experience that matches what is expected from a premium laptop.
With these changes, ASUS Malaysia is positioning its updated warranty and service offerings as a way to give customers more confidence and support throughout the time they own their device, rather than just at the point of purchase.
