Square Enix has officially confirmed that Kingdom Hearts IV will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The PC release will be available across three storefronts: Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. No release date has been announced at this time.
The news came out of the June Nintendo Direct, where Square Enix debuted a new gameplay trailer for the long-awaited title. The trailer showed gameplay in a modern-day setting, with Sora fighting off Heartless through the city streets using his Keyblade.
The game is a new installment in the long-running action role-playing series and follows series protagonist Sora, along with some familiar faces, as they make their way through a mysterious city called Quadratum. Sora will once again travel to various worlds, where new characters and new powers will come into play as the story moves forward.

Square Enix has not shared further details beyond this initial announcement, but has stated that more information about the game will be revealed in the future.
Kingdom Hearts IV marks the next major chapter in a franchise that has been running since 2002, and its confirmation across all current major platforms means it will be accessible to a wide range of players when it eventually launches.
