Publisher Perfect World Games shared an update with shareholders on April 30, one day after the global launch of its open-world anime RPG Neverness to Everness (NTE). According to the company, first-day sales crossed 100 million Chinese Yuan, which works out to roughly $14.64 million USD. It is currently unclear whether that figure also includes sales from the Chinese version of the game.
Breaking down where the money came from, Japan and the United States made up the biggest revenue shares, while South Korea performed better than the company expected. On the platform side, PC and PlayStation 5 players together account for about 75% of NTE’s total revenue.

Early reception to the game has been broadly positive. Player data shows that people are spending more time exploring the game’s urban open world than fighting enemies. Taking note of that, Perfect World Games is looking into adding paid city-themed content down the line, which could include character skins, clothing, houses, and cars.
As for what is coming next, the developers say they are listening to player feedback and plan to act on it in upcoming updates. Versions 1.1 and 1.2 are set to focus on performance improvements and usability, with the goal of making the game smoother and more accessible. The company also says it will work on refining gameplay to keep players engaged over the long term. Neverness to Everness is currently available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, Windows, and macOS.
