Capcom has teamed up with My Play Watch to release the Mega Man: My Play Watch, a standalone digital gaming watch built around a redesigned version of Mega Man 2. It is set to launch on June 16, 2026, and is priced at $79.99. The Mega Man: My Play Watch is currently available for pre-order exclusively through GameStop, with shipping expected on June 16, 2026.
The watch carries a reworked take on Mega Man 2 that keeps the original game’s stages, bosses, sprites, and music, but changes how you play. Since it is worn on the wrist, the controls have been simplified. Mega Man auto-runs on his own, and players tap the screen to shoot and jump.
The watch comes in Mega Man-inspired colors with pixel art styling and supports interchangeable bands. Each unit ships with the watch itself, two bands, a magnetic charging cable, and collectible packaging. Pre-order customers also get a bonus band and a display stand included.
There are three modes to choose from. Classic Mode lets you go through Robot Master stages and eventually reach Dr. Wily’s Castle, following the general structure of the original game. Arcade Mode is more score-focused, with stages that get faster and harder as you go. The third option, Play Time Mode, is not really a game at all. It works as a watch face with animated Mega Man-themed pixel art displays.

Outside of gaming, the watch handles standard health and fitness tracking: steps, heart rate, and calories. However, it does not connect to a phone or the internet. There is no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no app support, and no notifications. It works as a self-contained device only.
