The remaster brings high-definition graphics and a redesigned user interface compared to the original release. Players can fast forward through cutscenes, and the game’s networking features have been updated for modern platforms.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is a remaster of the first game in the Bravely series. The story follows Tiz, the only survivor of a village destroyed by a mysterious event called the Great Chasm. He teams up with a young vestal named Agnès, and the two set out on a journey to close the chasm and restore crystals that have been consumed by darkness, in a world called Luxendarc.

The game uses a turn-based battle system built around two key commands: Brave and Default. Brave lets players spend BP to take more actions in a single turn, while Default lets them build up BP by playing defensively.
The game also features over 20 different job classes, giving players a good amount of flexibility in how they build their party and approach battles. Two new minigames have also been added that weren’t in the original version. Square Enix notes that some graphics from the original have been changed for this version.
