Animation studio ufotable has dropped a teaser trailer hinting at a collaboration with the Tales of series, with a full reveal set for April 3. The Tales of series marks its 30th anniversary this year, with the franchise having launched on December 15, 1995. To celebrate the milestone, it looks like Bandai Namco and ufotable are cooking something up together, though the details are being kept under wraps for now.
Tales of series producer Yusuke Tomizawa commented on the teaser, saying, “Details regarding a collaboration with ufotable in celebration of the 30th anniversary will come on April 3. Please look forward to it.”

For those unfamiliar, ufotable has a long history with the Tales of franchise. The studio handled the anime series Tales of Zestiria the X, produced the Tales of Symphonia original video animations, and created animated cutscenes for several entries in the series, including Tales of Xillia, Tales of Xillia 2, Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Berseria, and Tales of Arise.
The collaboration announcement comes as part of Bandai Namco’s broader ongoing celebration of the franchise’s anniversary. The publisher has been running the Tales Remaster Project, which brought Tales of Graces f Remastered in January 2025, Tales of Xillia Remastered in October 2025, and Tales of Berseria Remastered in February 2026, with more titles planned throughout the year. Tales of Festival 2026 is also scheduled for July 4 to 5 at the Yokohama BUNTAI venue in Japan as another part of the anniversary celebrations.
