Bandai Namco has announced that Tales of Festival 2026 will take place at Yokohama BUNTAI on July 4 and 5, 2026.
While specific details about the event’s lineup haven’t been revealed yet, past festivals have featured activities that bring fans and voice actors together. These typically include live skit performances, exclusive merchandise, and appearances by special guests. Previous events have also served as platforms for announcements about the franchise.

The Tales series is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. In a recent article, producer Tomizawa confirmed that the team continues to work on new experiences for the franchise alongside additional remaster projects.
Tomizawa also shared updates about the Tales Remastered Project during the anniversary video. The project, which started in October 2024, aims to bring older games in the series to modern platforms with updated visuals and improvements.
However, Tomizawa confirmed that future remasters in 2026 will focus on older “classics” from the franchise. This means earlier titles like Tales of Phantasia, the very first mainline game, could receive modern updates.
The producer explained that the remaster selections are based on factors like technical feasibility and source code availability rather than following the series’ release order. He also noted that game development now takes longer than in previous years and asked fans to stay patient as the team works on both remasters and a new mainline entry.
Tales of Xillia Remastered is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Meanwhile, Tales of Berseria Remastered is scheduled for release on February 26, 2026, for the same platforms.
