CI Games has confirmed that Lords of the Fallen 2 will launch in 2026 on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Although development continues, recent statements from studio leadership have already sparked discussion across the gaming community.
CI Games CEO Addresses Creative Direction
CI Games founder and CEO Marek Tyminski recently spoke to fans on social media about the sequel’s direction. He explained that Lords of the Fallen 2 will lean further into an old-school design philosophy. Moreover, he said this approach reflects the feedback-driven mindset that helped the series regain momentum.

Earlier, the original Lords of the Fallen gained renewed attention when Tyminski began engaging players directly. He actively asked for feedback on systems and presentation. As a result, the team adjusted several design choices after launch, including character customization options.
Comments on Character Design and Outfits
In a recent social media thread, Tyminski described the game’s early development as influenced by what he called “political correctness.” He attributed this to internal bureaucracy at the studio at the time. However, he added that CI Games has since changed how it handles development decisions.

When a fan asked whether Lords of the Fallen 2 would include attractive female characters and revealing outfits or armor, Tyminski gave a direct response. He answered with a clear “Yes.” Consequently, his comment signals a deliberate shift in the sequel’s character design direction.
Studio Restructuring and Player Feedback
Tyminski also shared more details about Hexworks, the studio behind the series. He explained that the team operated as an autonomous unit after its founding in early 2020. During that period, some decisions did not reach him in time.

Since late 2024, Tyminski has taken a more hands-on role as both CEO and Head of Studio. According to him, CI Games has reversed several internal decisions. In addition, the team continues refining the sequel based on direct player feedback. He noted that players can already see this shift in the latest trailers.
Looking Ahead to Lords of the Fallen 2

While CI Games has not shared extensive gameplay details yet, Lords of the Fallen 2 appears set to reinforce the series’ core identity. As development progresses toward its 2026 release, further updates should clarify how these creative choices shape the final game. For more updates on the game, follow their official X account.
