Nintendo has announced that its eShop and Nintendo Switch Online services will launch in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand on November 18, supporting both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. The Nintendo eShop will allow users in these countries to purchase and download games directly to their consoles, as well as access downloadable content and subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online memberships.
Nintendo Switch Online offers several features for subscribers, including online multiplayer for battles and co-op play. Members can also play a collection of classic games from previous Nintendo consoles and access exclusive titles available only through the subscription service. The service includes Save Data Cloud, which provides backup functionality for game saves across Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo has stated that more details about the specific services and features will be shared closer to the launch date. The company also confirmed that it is preparing to launch Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Switch Online services in the Philippines, though no launch date has been set yet. Nintendo said it will announce the timeline and details for the Philippines rollout once plans are finalized.
This expansion marks Nintendo’s continued growth in the Southeast Asian market, bringing official digital storefront and online gaming services to millions of players in the region.
