Square Enix revealed a brand new game titled DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY coming to mobile devices. The game was announced on October 14 during a livestream reveal. The new game will be available on both iOS and Android as a free-to-play title. Players can expect the game to release sometime in 2026, though an exact date hasn’t been confirmed yet. Players interested in trying out the upcoming mobile game can sign up now, with registration open until October 28, 2025.
DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY takes a different approach from previous games in the series. Instead of one-on-one battles, this game features 3-versus-3 team fights in what’s called a “Team Boss Battle Arena.” Players team up with others to take down powerful bosses together.
The game uses a mechanic called Bravery, which is central to how fights play out. Players hunt monsters near a crystal to build up Bravery points. Once you’ve gathered enough Bravery, you can unleash a Bravery Burst to deal massive damage to the boss. Teams can also use powerful abilities to defeat bosses faster than opposing teams.
The game offers plenty of ways to personalize your experience. Players can unlock new outfits for their characters, including modern-day looks. You can also collect memorable scenes from the Final Fantasy series that boost your character’s stats, and gather music tracks from the franchise to use during battles.
Abilities are a major part of customization too. The game features numerous abilities with artwork created by popular artists, including designs by well-known Final Fantasy illustrator Yoshitaka Amano.
