animate Kuala Lumpur Permanent Store

The flagship store, animate Kuala Lumpur, opens on October 10, 2025, at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC). The outlet will occupy the second floor and feature a wide range of products directly imported from Japan. Fans can explore the latest CDs, Blu-rays, and exclusive character goods from popular franchises such as Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, and Hololive.

This expansion follows the success of the animate pop-up shop, which opened at LaLaport BBCC in November 2024. The pop-up was meant to run for six months but extended several times due to overwhelming demand. Local fans showed strong support for officially licensed anime merchandise, paving the way for a permanent store.

Malaysia’s First animate Cafe

The company also announced the launch of its first animate Cafe in Malaysia, opening on October 8, 2025. The cafe will be located on the Lower Ground (LG) floor of LaLaport BBCC.

Known for its limited-time collaborations with hit anime series, the cafe will feature menus inspired by characters, exclusive merchandise, and vibrant themed decor perfect for photos. Malaysian fans will finally get a taste of the anime dining culture that has delighted fans in Japan.

animate “Only Shop” Pop-Up

The original pop-up space on the Ground Floor of LaLaport BBCC will soon become the animate “Only Shop.” This rotating concept will spotlight one anime franchise at a time.

The first theme will focus on the legendary Evangelion franchise, running from October 10 to 26, 2025. During this period, fans can purchase limited Evangelion merchandise and enjoy special promotions.

Membership and Opening Campaigns
