BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! has announced the end of service for their Korean servers after 5 years of service.

The reason for the closure was stated to be caused by various reasons that made it difficult to provide a stable service environment.

Service will be terminated on January 31st, 2024, alongside the termination of the official Twitter account.

As of the writing of this article, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! has amassed a total revenue of over 19 million USD in Korea.

The store will also be discontinuing in-app purchases starting from October 11th, 2023, but items that have already been purchased prior to the closure will still be usable after the store closes.

Players who have made in-app purchases between September 11th, 2023 to October 11th, 2023 will be eligible for a refund if they still have the items in their possession.

Here are the steps to request for a refund:

1. Submit an inquiry from the [Menu] > [Customer Center] > [1:1 Inquiry] > Payment category in the game.
2. Select the Payment cancellation (Inquiry) application form
3. Insert your game membership number (Menu > Profile > 12-digit number on the main screen) or UID
4. Fill in the following information regarding where the purchase was made, date and time of the purchase, and payment account of the purchase.

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! seems to be going strong in other regions, with the JP version having collaborated with Chainsaw Man recently.
