PlayStation has revealed new details, including a potential release date, about their remote play device for the PS5, now officially named PlayStation Portal.

The exact release date for the PlayStation Portal has not been confirmed but PlayStation states that it is expected to launch sometime later this year.

However, they did disclose the pricing for the handheld device, which will be $199.99 (approximately RM928), 219.99 EURO, 199.99 GBP, and 29,980 YEN.

An official price for Malaysia has not been confirmed yet.

The PlayStation Portal remote player will let you bring your PS5 experience anywhere you want in your house, the device will connect to your PS5 via WiFi.

The controls includes key features of the standard DualSense wireless controller, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.

It has a vibrant 8-inch LCD screen that is capable of running your games at 1080p resolution at 60fps.

In an official blog post PlayStation states: “PlayStation Portal is the perfect device for gamers in households where they might need to share their living room TV or simply want to play PS5 games in another room of the house. PlayStation Portal will connect remotely to your PS5 over Wi-Fi**, so you’ll be able to swiftly jump from playing on your PS5 to your PlayStation Portal. PlayStation Portal can play supported games that are installed on your PS5 console and use the Dualsense controller”.

In addition to the PlayStation Portal, PlayStation unveiled the PULSE wireless headset and PULSE Explore wireless earbuds, aiming to elevate your gaming audio experience to new heights.

• Pulse Elite is a new wireless headset that offers lossless audio and comes with a retractable boom mic and AI-enhanced noise rejection which is capable of filtering background sounds. A charging hanger is also included with the product.
• Pulse Explore is PlayStation’s first set of wireless earbuds. They provide a premium portable audio experience with dual microphones and AI-enhanced noise rejection capable of filtering background sounds. It also offers lossless audio and comes with a charging case.

Pulse Elite will be available for $149.99 (RM691), 149.99 EURO, 129.99 GBP, 18,980 YEN and Pulse Explore will be available for $199.99 (RM928), 219.99 EURO, 199.99 GBP, 29,980 YEN.
