Streaming platform Twitch had just issued a statement over on their official twitter account saying that they will now be imposing a ban on unlicensed gambling streams where the ban will take place starting on 18th October 2022.

In the statement, Twitch will be prohibiting the streaming of gambling sites that include slots, roulette or dice games that are not licensed either in the United States or other jurisdictions that provide sufficient consumer protection. The policy update will be taking place on the 18th October where streamers will no longer be able to stream any gambling content from websites such as Stake.com, Rollbit.com, Duelbits.com, and Roobet.com, among other Twitch may identify going forward.

Although, Twitch also mentioned that they will still be allowing content creators to stream content that focuses on sports betting such as Fantasy Sports and Poker.

Twitch will also be sharing more details about the specifics to the site’s Gambling policy soon which also includes the fully policy language so that users would be fully clear on their new set of rules before it takes place on the 18th October.

Twitch is a live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and “in real life” streams and has been amassing a boom in popularity over the past years.
