ZA/UM, the studio behind Disco Elysium, has announced that its next game, ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies, will launch on May 21 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. A PlayStation 5 version is also in the works and is set to arrive later in 2026.
ZERO PARADES is a story-driven espionage RPG. Players take on the role of Hershel Wilk, a spy operative who goes by the alias CASCADE. Five years before the events of the game, Hershel led her team into a mission that went badly wrong. Now she has been called back for a new assignment, one that could be her shot at redemption.
The game is set in a city caught in a three-way struggle for cultural and ideological power. ZA/UM describes the setting as the “End of History,” and frames the city itself as a character with its own history and secrets.

Hershel will encounter a wide cast of characters throughout the game, including international bankers, foreign techno-fascists, psychic doppelgängers, and other unusual figures. ZERO PARADES uses a dice-based system that makes failure a central part of play. Rather than treating failed rolls as dead ends, the game is built around the idea that things going wrong simply opens up different paths. ZA/UM calls this approach “failing forward.”
