The slew of announcements from ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) includes the Zephyrus G15 gaming laptop, an ultraslim, 240 Hz gaming display and power processors for a wider audience. ROG’s efforts to make the premium category to be more accessible began with the Zephyrus G GA502, its features enhanced in the Zephyrus G15.

The ROG Zephyrus G15 is only 19.9mm thin and weighs 2.1kg. The 15-inch display is squeezed in by super-narrow bezels into a 14-inch footprint. Cooling vents are below the display. The diamond-cut chamfered edge near the touchpad allows users to open the laptop with a finger. ROG has collaborated closely with AMD for a series of processors tuned to the needs of these compact devices. With the all-new AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS mobile APU, it doubles the core count of previous generations. 8 cores and 16 threads helps it muscle through heavy multitasking, content creation and all other demands. 7nm fabrication technology means it’s also efficient too, lowering power consumption and less heat. Get up to 32GB fast DDR4-300 RAM between dual channels, and up to 1TB superfast NVMe SSD storage.

With a GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with ROG Boost up to 1298 MHz at 65W, expect high frame rates for a huge range of popular games. NVIDIA’s Turing architecture lets this GPU combine CUDA cores for programmable shading with dedicated RT cores for ray tracing and Tensor cores for AI to produce hyper-realistic visuals. The upgraded TUring video encoder means improving capture quality up to 15% while reducing CPU load, also compatible with Open Broadcaster Software!

Get up to 240 Hz refresh rates fast enough for esports competition. The display is also factory calibrated and PANTONE Validated for superb colour accuracy. Enjoy 81% screen-to-body ratio on a screen that covers 100% of the sRGB range. Adaptive sync synchronizes the display refresh rate with the GPU frame rate so that stuttering and input lag is reduced. The Radeon graphics integrated into the Ryzen processor means it can be used with a discrete GeForce GPU.

ROG’s Intelligent Cooling philosophy means the ROG Zephyrus G15 can maintain its performance with optimized blend of hardware and software. Self-cleaning thermal module, anti-dust tunnels, fans and carefully placed heat pipes all help towards this. ROG n-Blade fans maximise airflow through the heatsinks. With special liquid-crystal polymer to make them thin yet strong enough for high RPMs, each fan has 83 blades, improving airflow up to 17%.
