Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6, “Encore for an Old Dream” Arrives on February 6

miHoYo has announced that Zenless Zone Zero will receive its Version 2.6 update, titled “Encore for an Old Dream,” on February 6. Launching across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and mobile platforms, this update serves as an interlude following the climactic conclusion of Season 2, shifting the spotlight back to Sixth Street while embracing themes of dreams, music, and fleeting moments of connection.

Set against the backdrop of New Eridu’s annual Gilded Carrot Day celebration, Version 2.6 paints the city in festive lights and optimism, even as a lingering sense of unease hangs beneath the surface. As Proxies return to familiar streets, they are drawn into a new commission involving an illegal intelligent entity, once again crossing paths with Jane Doe. While Hollows and uncertainty remain ever-present, the spirit of the holiday spreads, reminding players that even in a fractured city, hope and creativity still find a way to shine.

Angels of Delusion Take Center Stage

The heart of Version 2.6 is the long-awaited debut of the idol group Angels of Delusion, who make both a narrative and gameplay entrance. Two new agents join the roster, beginning with Sunna, an S-Rank Physical Support agent who specializes in empowering Attack and Anomaly-focused teammates. Her companion Bubblegum plays a crucial role in marking enemies and enabling powerful team-wide buffs, while her Ultimate delivers a heavy burst of damage that seamlessly transitions into a Quick Assist for allies.

Alongside her is Aria, the group’s lead vocalist and an Ether Anomaly agent with a unique dual-form playstyle. Switching between a construct form and an idol projection, Aria excels at high burst damage against enemies affected by Attribute Anomalies, making her especially effective in aggressive, frontline combat scenarios. Supporting the group is Bangboo Biggest Fan, whose abilities focus on sustained healing and Attack boosts when multiple Angels of Delusion members are present. Both Sunna and Aria will also debut with brand-new outfits, including a distinctive dual-form costume for Aria.

New Events, Modes, and Rewards

Version 2.6’s flagship event, “A Harmony of Delusions,” places Proxies behind the scenes as staff supporting the Angels of Delusion. Players will manage training schedules and social media activities while engaging in rhythm-based gameplay and an expanded Marcel Adventure featuring new maps and mechanics. Beyond the festivities, Hollow Zero receives a substantial update with the introduction of Operation Matrix, a new mode offering weekly rotating themed stages, fresh mechanics, and deeper strategic customization through new Resonia and agent-specific Gears. A newly added Sweep function further streamlines progression and exploration.

To mark Gilded Carrot Day, players can also look forward to a generous slate of rewards. Enhancements for agents Lycaon and Harumasa are included, alongside a limited-time outfit for Pan Yinhu. A special Inter-Knot Membership event allows players to earn up to 3,300 Polychromes through daily logins, while the “Gilded Surprise, Wonderful Boo-ns” event from February 14 to February 23 offers lucky draws with a chance to share in a massive 4 billion Polychrome prize pool.

A Global Celebration Beyond the Game

To celebrate the Angels of Delusion’s debut, miHoYo will launch the global fan initiative “Sugar Rush: Cuteness Saves the World.” Featuring worldwide collaborations, offline events, and themed activities, the campaign will offer exclusive merchandise such as light sticks, T-shirts, towels, and more, with additional details to be shared through official social media channels.

Zenless Zone Zero is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via client download and Epic Games Store, as well as iOS and Android devices. With Version 2.6, miHoYo continues to expand New Eridu not just as a battleground, but as a living city where music, dreams, and danger coexist.
