Japanese game developer Falcom will announce its second planned release for 2026 next month, company president Toshihiro Kondo confirmed during an interview at Taipei Game Show 2026.
Speaking with Gamer.com.tw, Kondo discussed the company’s plans to release two new titles in 2026, a first for Falcom in several decades. One of these titles is the already-announced Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, while the second remains unannounced.
“We are fairly confident about that in terms of development progress, and are currently at a stage where this goal appears quite feasible,” Kondo said. “As for the second title aside from Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, we are planning a major announcement next month. We intend to make a big reveal.”

The announcement will be part of Falcom’s 45th anniversary celebrations in 2026. Kondo stated the company hopes to build excitement around this milestone through a steady flow of announcements throughout the year.
“We kindly ask everyone to be patient and stay tuned for further updates,” he added.
While Falcom has not officially identified what the unannounced title will be, a New Year’s greeting card from the company points to the Tokyo Xanadu New Project, which was first announced in 2024 and takes place in Kyoto. The February reveal will provide more details about Falcom’s second 2026 release.
