It was announced that Yurie Igoma, the voice actress of Ruby Hoshino from Oshi no Ko, will be attending Cos-Mic 2023 in Malaysia as a special guest.

As revealed, Yurie Igoma who voiced Ruby from Oshi no Ko, is invited to be a special guest for Cos-Mic 2023, happening this coming November.

Cos-Mic is an annual “Anime, Comics, and Games” (ACG) convention event, and this year, it will be held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre from 3 November 2023 to 5 November 2023.

Yurie Igoma is the voice of protagonist Ruby Hoshino in Oshi no Ko (【推しの子】), a series about the idol and entertainment industry written by mangaka Aka Akasaka of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War fame and illustrated by Scum’s Wish creator Mengo Yokoyari. 

Recently, the anime adaptation produced by Doga Kobo took the community by storm, garnering universal praise.

Igoma’s character, Ruby Hoshino, is one of the main protagonists in Oshi no Ko, a reincarnated Sarina Tendouji, now chasing her dream to become an idol.

In Cos-Mic 2023, fans of Oshi no Ko will now get an opportunity to meet and greet with Yurie Igoma, as she is an invited guest.

Cos-Mic 2023 

Aside from meeting with Yurie Igoma, Cos-Mic 2023 has also recently revealed the Artist Alley, featuring booths of various artists and illustrators from Malaysia.

The organizers also recently unveiled the key visual and the theme song “My Cos-Mic” for the event, featuring the work of Shikabashi, a Spine 2D Animator, and Xomu, a music composer.

“Join Cosy, Micy, and Little CHamp as they tell you a story of unity and diversity through the track that you are about to hear and hopefully it calms your heart a little from the excitement of Cos-Mic.”
