Vivo has been pushing one after another and this time, they are proudly presenting their midrange phone, Vivo S1 Pro. Vivo launched their Vivo S1 during the July and due to massive support from the fans, they are proudly releasing a pro version with the improvise specs to catch up with the trend of both mid-tier performance and camera needs.

Design

Vivo keeps his trend of making their back plate with the dazzling colors inspired by fine jewelry and royal palace. The The colors has a very soft pink and white mix but when reflected, a rainbow dash will appear making it beautifully unique. The most striking part of the design is the diamond designed main camera. The camera is positions nicely with the diamond making it a pretty fresh look for the current gen phones. If you don’t like that, you can choose their Knight Black version which features a sleek back design that looks sharp and cool!

Specifications

Starting with the specs, the phone is equiped with the BEAUTIFUL Super AMOLED Display with minimal bezel edges. It is a 6.38 inch 90% screen to body ratio which is pretty amazing for different needs such as gaming and mobilegraphy needs. The 1080p resolution is crisp clear for need ranging from photos till gaming.

Mentioning so much about gaming, the chipset used for Vivo S1 Pro is the Qualcomm SDM665 Snapdragon 665 Octa-core with an Adreno 610 GPU for very comfortable gaming performance. In terms of storage, the phone comes with a decent 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM with expandable storage up to 256 GB microSD shared with the SIM slot.

Camera

Vivo step up with their game on the standard of an expensive high grade phone. From the front, Vivo S1 Pro has a outstanding 32MP Front Camera which will bring you the details even when you zoom in. A new Pose Master also install for S1 Pro to help you with the utmost pose to show off your elegant or cute face. There’s also an AI Face Beauty function to help you quickly edit your photos with just a click.

The main camera features a 48 MP Quad Camera that can cover wide angles with their 8MP Ultrawide camera and 2MP for both macro and depth sensor. The super macro camera helps to capture with the frame-merging algorithm

Security

With the latest technology, Vivo S1 Pro also build a In-Display Fingerprint Scanning for quick and secure way to keep your phone discretely towards yourself.

Battery

Vivo S1 Pro houses a 4500 mAh (TYP) battery that makes sure that your phone has enough power to sustain gaming and all needs. Oh? The battery is getting low? No worries, the phone comes with a Type-C interface and feautres Vivo’s exclusive Dual-Engine Fast Charging technology to quickly boost up the battery level for another go!

Gameplay performances

I tried out two games that is now popular in the mobile gaming industry, Call of Duty Mobile (Garena) and PUBG Mobile. I would proudly say that Vivo S1 Pro does not disappoint. I admit that I’m using another flagship phone but Vivo S1 Pro sure do make a chance and with the lower Hz on screen, my performance did not drop.

S1 Pro’s improve cooling system is a huge impact on the phone’s overall temperature. Usually phones with high specs may tend to heat up super fast but Vivo S1 Pro did not had this problem. Given a 60Hz screen, the GPU manage to maintain at 60 FPS or higher throughout the gameplay. Not forgetting Vivo S1 Pro also features a Vivo Multi-Turbo which maximizes performance with the compensation of the overall temperature. Like the previous phones, S1 Pro also comes with a cheeky voice changer that helps you trick or toy with your teammates to either encourage them or just to make a laugh.

Overall, the phone is at a good spot for being a mid-ranged phone that actually challenges some of the top tier mobile flagships. From gaming to mobilegraphy, I was pretty impressed by how it worked out.
