With a new banner refresh that will last until 08 November 2021, we have the addition of Symboli Rudolf and Gold City alts to the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby lineup. The theme this time around is autumn, and this is mostly reflected in the getups of the respective horse girls.

First off, autumn Gold City is not veering too far off from her vanilla version, and is best suited as a betweener for the mile distance, although she can easily be tweaked for longer distances functioning as a leader. Her training bonus is spread out better this time around, and will benefit her most if you run her in mile as intended. As with most betweeners, she comes with a debuff skill, this one in particular only for mile. There is a gold heal for you to work off as well, but in the shorter distance, you are better off getting lesser but more reliable ones.

Moving on to the emperor who looks just as cool as ever, they seem to have tweaked her to function more as a leader with that skillset. Nothing particular of note, though it is interesting to see the first gold version of a green ability. It grants Symboli Rudolf a speed boost in autumn races, which makes is extremely situational, but it will always proc, so there’s that.  She comes with decent leader healer, which is convenient if you run her in the longer distances, but if you are not, then it is better to get something more reliable.
