Nihon Falcom has released a fresh batch of details and screenshots for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, introducing several returning and new characters from the series’ expanded storyline. The update also highlights new combat mechanics, including the “Brave Rush” and “Enforcer Boost” systems, both of which significantly expand tactical depth in battle.
The game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on September 17 worldwide.
Campanella and the Ouroboros Enforcers

One of the most mysterious figures in the update is Campanella, an Enforcer of Ouroboros designated as No. 0. Despite appearing as a teenage boy, his true age remains unknown. Voiced by Zach Aguilar in English and Kanae Itou in Japanese, Campanella is described as an observer sent to monitor the execution of Weissmann’s grand plan. His appearances are brief and surreal, often vanishing in bursts of illusory flame while leaving behind cryptic remarks.
Phantom Thief Bleublanc

Bleublanc, also known as Enforcer No. X, returns with his signature theatrical flair. Voiced by Kirk Thornton in English and Kishou Taniyama in Japanese, the Phantom Thief operates under the alias “Phantom Thief B.” His philosophy revolves around creating beauty through superiority and spectacle, often orchestrating elaborate schemes that destabilize entire cities across Zemuria.
Walter the Direwolf

Walter, known as the Direwolf and Enforcer No. VIII, is a brutal martial artist who blends multiple fighting styles into his deadly “Murderer’s Fist.” Voiced by Keith Silverstein in English and Takahiro Yoshimizu in Japanese, Walter is portrayed as ruthless and uncompromising in combat, showing no mercy regardless of his opponent.
Luciola the Bewitching Bell

Luciola, Enforcer No. VI, brings elegance and danger in equal measure. Armed with folding fans and a signature bell used to cast illusions, she is known as the “Bewitching Bell.” Voiced by Natalie Van Sistine in English and Ryouka Yuzuki in Japanese, Luciola’s motivations appear deeply personal, especially regarding her involvement in Liberl.
Josette Capua and the Sky Pirates

Josette Capua is introduced as the youngest of the Capua siblings and a central figure among the Sky Pirates. Despite her fiery personality, she is responsible for managing the crew’s operations and uses both arts and an orbal gun in combat. Her tense rivalry with Estelle continues to be a recurring dynamic in the story.
Kyle Capua and Don Capua

Kyle Capua serves as the middle sibling and skilled pilot of the Sky Pirates’ airship, the Bobcat. Known for his strategic thinking, he often acts as the group’s tactical mind. Meanwhile, Don Capua, the eldest sibling, leads the crew. Though previously manipulated into criminal activity, he is portrayed as a loyal and straightforward leader devoted to his family.
Brave Rush Combat System

The new “Brave Rush” system introduces high-damage, wide-area combo attacks that can be triggered in Quick Battle. Players can spend two Brave Gauge points to link the active character with a party member, unleashing powerful coordinated strikes. This system expands combat flexibility alongside standard attacks, crafts, dodges, and jump actions.
Enforcer Boost and Rage Mechanics

The “Enforcer Boost” mechanic is an advanced version of Rage Boost exclusive to Ouroboros Enforcers. When activated, characters trigger unique animations and battlefield transformations, significantly increasing combat intensity.
In contrast, enemy Rage Boost states also return, allowing bosses to gain unavoidable attacks, reduced delay times, and the ability to steal AT Bonuses. These enhancements can dramatically shift battle momentum and increase overall difficulty.
