Japanese entertainment company Drecom has officially announced the launch of Drecom Creators Studio, a new indie-focused game studio aimed at supporting creators, discovering new talent, and helping bring original projects to a global audience. The newly established division reflects Drecom’s growing investment in independent game development and long-term intellectual property expansion within the gaming industry.
The announcement comes ahead of the upcoming BitSummit PUNCH event, where Drecom Creators Studio will make its public debut from May 22 to May 24 at Miyako Messe in Kyoto, Japan. The company confirmed that it will showcase several playable demo titles during the event, with additional details about the featured games expected closer to the exhibition date.
Drecom Expands Into Indie Game Publishing and Creator Support

According to Drecom, the primary goal of Drecom Creators Studio is to provide a comprehensive support system for indie game developers. The studio plans to assist creators throughout the entire development process, from early production to long-term brand and intellectual property growth.
Drecom stated that the initiative is designed for a broad range of creators, including solo developers and small independent teams. Beyond development support, the company intends to offer financial assistance, marketing support, development expertise, and integrated media expansion opportunities to help projects reach wider audiences without compromising the creators’ artistic vision.

The company emphasized that it wants indie titles under its support structure to remain beloved across generations and international markets while maintaining the unique identity of each project.
A Growing Focus on Multimedia Intellectual Properties

The creation of Drecom Creators Studio also highlights Drecom’s broader strategy of expanding entertainment properties beyond video games alone. The company already has experience producing multimedia projects involving novels, manga adaptations, anime productions, and merchandise.
One of the biggest examples mentioned by Drecom is the long-running Wizardry franchise, which has maintained a dedicated global fanbase for more than four decades. Drecom has continued expanding the series through various media projects, including the dark fantasy multimedia title Blade & Bastard, which spans novels, comics, anime adaptations, and merchandise collaborations.
Drecom also highlighted the success of Wizardry Variants Daphne, which launched for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam in October 2024. According to the company, the game has surpassed three million downloads worldwide and continues to attract players globally.
Drecom Creators Studio Seeking New Developers

As part of the announcement, Drecom confirmed that Drecom Creators Studio is actively looking for creators interested in working with the company on future projects. The studio aims to use the expertise and industry experience Drecom has developed through its existing intellectual property and multimedia initiatives to help nurture the next generation of indie developers.
The company stated that more detailed information about the studio, including creator applications and partnership opportunities, is now available through the official Drecom Creators Studio website.
With the global indie gaming scene continuing to grow rapidly across platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Drecom’s latest initiative could position the company as a notable new player in the independent publishing space. The launch of Drecom Creators Studio also reflects a wider industry trend of established publishers investing in smaller creative teams and original intellectual properties.
