Hotta Studio announced server merges based on regions are coming to open world action RPG mobile game Tower of Fantasy.

According to the official announcement, Hotta Studio decided to implement another round of server merges for Tower of Fantasy after seeing positive receptions from players following previous merges.

The server merge implementation this time will be based on regions to allow players to play with their friends seamlessly without the need for server transfers.

With the changes, all servers within a region will be condensed into a singular server for interconnected play between players within the same region.

Due to the workload involved, Tower of Fantasy will be undergoing server maintenance as they start the merging process for each region on the following dates:

• Europe – July 25th, 03:00-09:00 (UTC+0)
• Southeast Asia – July 25th, 05:00-11:00 (UTC+0)
• South America – July 25th, 07:00-13:00 (UTC+0)
• North America – July 26th, 02:00-15:00 (UTC+0)
• Asia-Pacific – July 26th, 17:00-04:00 (UTC+0)

Note that the servers may come online earlier or later than scheduled depending on the maintenance status.

Players who have reached Level 6 in Tower of Fantasy before the maintenance will be compensated with 100 Dark Crystals per hour of server shutdown.

Transfer service will be discontinued upon server merge completion and any consumed Tanium will be reimbursed to players who made server transfers since July 1st (UTC+0).

Leaderboards

Hotta Studio notes that following the server merge, the leaderboards will receive intensified competition due to the huge increase in player counts.

The developers will be closely assessing if there is a need for ranking settlement range expansion for some game modes.

As a way to ensure players have a smooth transition following the server merges, additional rewards will be given out for the Sequential Phantasm and Origin of War game modes.

The rewards distributed will be based on independent rankings of servers before the merge and will be given out during the first Sequential Phantasm and Origin of War settlement day after the server merge.

• Sequential Phantasm – August 9th, 05:00:00 (server time)
• Origin of War – September 11th, 23:59:59 (server time)

After the regional server merge, players from different servers will be able to meet each other in the Overworld.
