The Sims 4 Announces New Infant Life Stage

Infants has just been announced by EA and Maxis as a brand-new life stage for The Sims 4. Infants will be available as a free update for all owners of the base game on PC via EA app, Mac via Origin, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.

To enjoy the new content, Simmers can either adopt, Woohoo one into existence, use the Create-a-Sim (CAS) feature or Simmers may even try the new interaction available, Science Baby, which lets Sims use genetic material to have a new baby through science.

Infants created through CAS can be modified using a wide range of adorable outfits, hairstyles, traits and more. Not only that, Simmers will be also be able to create their dream nursery using furniture and décor perfect for their new infants.

Furthermore, just like in real life, Infants will slowly develop the ability to express needs, emotions and sentiments! Family members of all ages can nurture the infant accordingly and watch as the little Sim grows. Caregivers who use the Changing Station and Infant Playmat may discover new ways of playing and caring for their infants as well.

Special reward traits that influence an infant’s proficiency at forming healthy relationships can be obtained through interactions with more household members. The more attachments they form through regular interaction and bonding the more likely it is to obtain that special reward trait.

More depth and gameplay on Infants can also be discovered on March 16th through The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack which incorporates new Infant milestones, such as gaining new abilities that open up the world of social interaction and exploration for Infants. This expansion will include 18 discoverable Infant Quirks and with a limit of three per Sim, each infant will always be unique.
