[TGA 2024] Naughty Dog Unveils New Sci-Fi Game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Naughty Dog has introduced its latest project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in a stunning reveal at The Game Awards 2024. The game is a futuristic space opera that promises to push the boundaries of narrative and gameplay for the PlayStation 5.

The game follows Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter portrayed by Tati Gabrielle, who finds herself stranded on Sempiria, a mysterious planet that has been cut off from outside communication for over 600 years. Players will navigate the challenges of a world where no previous visitor has ever managed to escape its orbit.

Drawing inspiration from anime classics like Cowboy Bebop, the game’s reveal trailer showcased a distinct futurepunk aesthetic that has already captured the imagination of gaming fans. In addition, Game Director Neil Druckmann hints at a deeply emotional and character-driven experience that builds on Naughty Dog’s renowned storytelling approach.

The star-studded cast includes comedian Kumail Nanjiani in a brief but intriguing appearance, and the game’s soundtrack will be composed by the acclaimed duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, known for their award-winning film scores.
