Creepy Jar has announced that their open-world base-building game, StarRupture, will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on January 6, 2026. The highly anticipated survival experience has already surpassed 500,000 wishlists following its first playtest.
Creepy Jar’s new Early Access Release Date Trailer gives fans a fresh look at the dangers and possibilities awaiting them on Arcadia-7.
Strong Reception from the Playtest
The recent two-week playtest of StarRupture proved to be a massive success. More than 158,000 players took part, collectively contributing nearly 200,000 hours of livestream content. The game achieved a 91% positive review score and reached a peak of 6,701 concurrent players.

Creepy Jar CEO Krzysztof Kwiatek expressed excitement about the results:
“We’re extremely pleased with the reception to the first open playtest of StarRupture. Our concept for this game is a unique blend of existing genres—base building, exploration, combat, and survival—and players clearly enjoyed it. We’re thrilled that players noticed and appreciated this fresh take on the genre and mechanics they know and love.”
Polished for Early Access

Originally planned for release this autumn, the launch was delayed to ensure additional polish. Creepy Jar stated that the passionate community feedback during the playtest inspired them to refine the game further, ensuring a richer and more rewarding experience when it arrives in Early Access.
Life on Arcadia-7
In StarRupture, players step into the role of a prisoner sent to survive on the dangerous planet Arcadia-7. Forced to gather resources and build factories for powerful corporations, survival is anything but guaranteed.

Beyond defending against hostile threats, players must also contend with Ruptura, the volatile star that sustains—and threatens—life on the planet.

StarRupture combines multiple genres into a single experience. Players can build bases, explore dangerous terrain, fight enemies, and uncover planetary mysteries. The game also supports both solo and cooperative play for up to four players, offering flexibility in how survivors tackle challenges.
