Super Robot Wars Y Demo Launches August 8 for PS5 & Switch with Save Transfer Support

Bandai Namco has officially announced that the Super Robot Wars Y demo will launch on August 8, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. This will be players’ first opportunity to experience the tactical crossover RPG before its full release later this month. While a PC demo hasn’t been confirmed yet, the game will still release on Steam on August 28.

The demo includes CHAPTER-01 of the main story and lets players carry over save data to the full version, ensuring that progress, character creation, and acquired resources are preserved. Completing the demo will also reward players with bonus in-game items and points when the game officially launches.

A Tactical Preview of Mecha Mayhem

Developed by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals Inc., Super Robot Wars Y continues the series’ grid-based strategy gameplay, bringing together mechs and pilots from legendary anime franchises. This entry features newcomers such as:
