More than likely, you’ve seen the supposed summer skins coming to Genshin Impact, namely for Jean and Barbara. Well, if Genshin is going to follow the northern hemisphere seasonal calendar, here are the summer skins I propose we have in the game.

DILUC

I would be remiss to not include many people’s favourite grape juice-drinking Batman to the list. Man’s all covered up, I would honestly not be surprised if he shows up to a beach party in his regular coat. It would honestly be really funny, though won’t be worth dropping any primogems for.

CHONGYUN

He already regularly eats popsicles – even if they’re typically flavourless – so maybe he can get into something lighter to avoid collapsing from overflowing yang energy. He can keep the hood when it’s too hot, or maybe the lad can get a visor while we shuttle him a continuous supply of iced goodies.

NINGGUANG

Now that she’s worked her way to the top, she could walk the beaches enjoying herself now. After what she’s done for the nation she loves, she deserves a break even if being a workaholic wouldn’t let her take a break.

ZHONGLI

The people need to know: are your arms still made of geo, sir? Get that coat removed and we can start talking.

XINYAN

Let her match Barbara and do a seaside rock concert! She seems like the type of person who would really enjoy watermelon smashing too, even if that’s not an actual thing in real life.

HU TAO

It makes perfect business sense to kill two birds with one stone for Hu Tao to advertise the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour, and partake in the classic summer ghost stories.

Since the two apparent in-game summer skins are for Mondstadt characters, it totally makes sense for my list to be mostly Liyue characters. All that aside though, with the fact that skins are supposedly coming, I can see miHoYo hosting an art contest in the future to get fan-made designs put into the game. Who can say? Obviously I’m just kidding around with this selection, and I’ll wait on miHoYo to see what they come up with.
