Summer Game Fest has announced its return for 2026, with the gaming showcase scheduled for Friday, June 5. The event will mark a significant change as it moves to a new location at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. Producer Geoff Keighley’s annual gaming event will feature new video game announcements and reveals at the iconic venue.

Following tradition, the live show will be open to the public, with tickets going on sale during Spring 2026. The 2026 event will stream across multiple platforms, continuing Summer Game Fest’s approach of reaching both in-person attendees and online viewers worldwide.
The 2025 edition of Summer Game Fest took place in June and reached more than 50 million livestream viewers during its two-hour presentation. This represented the highest viewership numbers in the event’s history, according to organizers. The event also marked the first-ever partnership between Summer Game Fest and the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, providing a global platform for game developers from the SEA region.
This year’s show included several major announcements, with Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem serving as the closing reveal. Other notable presentations included Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio showing off their game formerly called Project Century, the announcement of a Wu-Tang game, multiple crossovers from IOI Interactive, and news of a Scott Pilgrim game sequel featuring a new story from the original creator.
