Marvelous has shared a five-minute gameplay overview trailer for Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, giving players their first detailed look at the upcoming farming sim.
The game takes place in Zephyr Town, a mountain community known for its strong winds and what was once a world-famous market. However, the town’s bazaar has seen better days and now needs help getting back on its feet. Players step into the role of a new farmer who must revive the struggling marketplace while building up their own farm.
The core gameplay revolves around typical farming activities like raising animals and growing crops, but with a twist. Everything you produce goes toward stocking your own stall at the weekly bazaar. Players can customize their stall and handle their own sales to attract customers and increase profits. As the bazaar becomes more successful, new goods and services become available to help improve your farm.
One of the game’s unique features is how it uses Zephyr Town’s windy weather. Players can use windmills to create new products and travel around town on a glider. The game also adds jumping mechanics that let you explore both your farm and the town in new ways. This new version builds on the original handheld game with several upgrades. The world is larger with improved graphics, and the game includes full voice acting for story events – a first for the series.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar will release on August 27 for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The game promises to offer both classic farming gameplay and new business management elements centered around running your market stall.
