Steam Deck gets late February release date

The much anticipated Steam Deck has gotten its release date! The community post states that the first batch of order emails for the Steam Deck is set to release on 25 February, so reservation holders best save that date. On receiving receipt of their order email, customers will have 72 hours to make their purchase before the reservation is released to the next person in queue. The units themselves will start shipping out 28 February, with new order mail batches planned to go out weekly.

Press units will also be sent out for full review in due course, with embargoes on the products lifting on 25 February. Preview coverage and impressions can be released prior to that, so look forward to those as well. The post closes off with a note on polishing and tying up the last few loose ends and rough edges before the machines get into consumer hands.
