Square Enix has confirmed it is exploring the possibility of a PC version for DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY, the newly launched mobile game in the long-running Dissidia series.
The news came from an interview with Siliconera, where producer Naoya Matsumoto was asked whether the game’s portrait mode design built specifically for one-handed smartphone play would prevent it from ever coming to PC. His response left the door open, stating: “This constraint does not make a PC version impossible. While we cannot provide specific details at this time, we are currently exploring the possibility of a PC version.”

The portrait mode was a deliberate design choice. Matsumoto explained that the team wanted the game to feel casual and easy to pick up, similar to how people use social media apps on their phones. The vertical screen format was seen as the most natural fit for that kind of experience.
DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY is a 3v3 team-based competitive game, marking a different direction from earlier entries like the original Dissidia fighting game and the turn-based Opera Omnia. It is currently available on iOS via the App Store and on Android via Google Play. No further details about a potential PC release for DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY have been shared at this time.
