Square Enix has announced a new game which goes by the name Antique Carnevale, although the platform for it is still unknown for the time being. However, given the company’s track record, it is safe to assume that we are looking at a smartphone game.
While there are currently three trailers up, Square Enix has somehow avoided showing off gameplay, as that would hint at the platform it will made available for. Also with the multiple trailers planned and with the Tokyo Game Show not taking place until September the soonest, this most likely rules out Antique Carnevale being a major console release. If you are hoping Square Enix will come up with a new IP for consoles, you are pretty much out of luck.
