In Split Fiction, players are set into the story of two writers named Mio Hudson and Zoe Foster as they are trapped in their own narratives and they must work together to overcome all challenges that come their way. Similar to It Takes Two, Split Fiction is known for its designed screen multiplayer function in which the game must be played with two players locally or through online play. As the game is Steam Native, the game has no need of the EA App to play the game in order to make it easier for players to co-op through Steam without further complication.

According to Metacritic, the game scored an impressive 91 Metascore, making it the top-rated video game of the year so far. Moreover, the game has gained a large sum of 259,003 Steam concurrent users following overwhelmingly positive reviews, far surpassing It Takes Two’s peak of 71,039.
