SINoAlice and Sanrio Characters collaboration announced for Japan

The grim dark world of SINoALICE will apparently get much needed reprieve as the Japanese account has announced a collaboration with Sanrio characters, of all things. More information will be coming at a later date, but for the time being, a retweet campaign will last until 7 February 2022, 23:59 JST. Players simply need to retweet this announcement to get a total of 300 Twilight Crystals with 5000 retweets, which should be essentially already done by the time you read this.

Going by the teaser, the Sanrio characters making their way into SINoAlice include:

• Hello Kitty
• My Melody
• Kuromi
• Pompompurin
• Cinnamoroll
• Pochacco

One can only assume they would be made playable, if not the existing cast getting collaboration Jobs based on these characters, which is nonetheless looking a little jarring, to say the least. Going by previous trends, the collab info should be coming out in the next two weeks, so you might not have to wait too long. Does this mean Yoko Taro will be writing some kind of happy (for his standards anyway) story? It’ll be interesting to see when this would be available for the global version.

Sanrio collabs with other properties tend to often be limited to merchandise, so stay tuned to what form this will take outside of that.
