In an unexpected but delightful crossover, SEGA has announced that the iconic Crewmate from the hit game Among Us is joining the roster of Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble on Nintendo Switch. The spacefaring character arrives as part of the game’s latest update (Version 2.10).
🚨 Calling an emergency meeting! 🚨 The Crewmate from Among Us is now available as paid character DLC for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble! Bananas turn to pizza slices as players channel their inner Impostor. 🍕 > https://t.co/hTIC19GB9b pic.twitter.com/V3vSm4ihlU

Players can now take control of the suspicious spacefarer in both Adventure Mode and Battle Mode. In an interesting twist, the Crewmate’s gameplay features a unique collectible – instead of gathering the series’ traditional bananas, players will roll around collecting pizza slices throughout their journey.
The crossover content doesn’t stop with just the character addition. Battle Mode’s Ba-BOOM! receives a new stage called “Scattered Stones,” challenging players with its ancient ruins aesthetic. The stage features a distinctive central crossing, complemented by rotating walls and moving stone slabs that players must navigate while avoiding bombs.

This collaboration marks another interesting chapter in the Super Monkey Ball franchise’s history, bringing together the whimsical world of monkey-filled spheres with Among Us’s space-themed charm. Players looking to try out the new content will need to ensure their game is updated to the latest version. The update showcases SEGA’s continued support for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, which has been building its roster and content since launch.
