SUNSOFT has announced Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant, a full 3D remake of the 1988 classic Ripple Island. The game launches on November 27, 2025, for Switch 2 and PC via Steam at 4,378 yen (MYR 135). It will support multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
A Cooking Tournament on Ripple Island

Ripple Island is a land rich in nature and fresh ingredients. King Dotella declares a cooking tournament to find the island’s best dish, and chefs across the land answer his call. Players step into the shoes of Kyle, a young chef with big dreams, and join the island’s animal residents to compete for the grand treasure.
Cooking and Gathering Ingredients

To prepare dishes, players must first gather ingredients in creative ways. You can grow vegetables, catch fish, or collect eggs from pets before heading into the kitchen. Cooking then turns into a team effort as players work together to serve meals and satisfy hungry customers.
Modes and Multiplayer Fun

The remake offers many ways to enjoy the cooking chaos. In Challenge Mode, up to four players can team up locally to clear stages. Meanwhile, Everyone’s Restaurant allows up to 16 players to cook online, with the option of linking eight local players in one session.

For solo players, the game offers a mode where you manage everything yourself. You will gather ingredients, cook, serve, and clean while relying on smart decisions to keep the restaurant running smoothly. Finally, the 16-Player Cooperative Play mode focuses on teamwork and role delegation, with success depending on coordination and planning.
Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant will release on November 27, 2025, for Switch 2 and PC via Steam. For more updates in the game, visit their official website.
