Devolver Digital and Nerial, in partnership with CD Projekt RED, have announced Reigns: The Witcher for PC and Mac via Steam and GOG, as well as iOS and Android devices. The game launches on February 25, bringing the signature Reigns formula into The Witcher universe.
Unlike traditional entries in the franchise, Reigns: The Witcher adapts the series into a choice-driven experience. This time, the story unfolds through the exaggerated ballads of Dandelion. As a result, familiar events take on a more reflective and often ironic tone.
A Witcher’s Journey Told Through Ballads

Players assume the role of Geralt of Rivia as they navigate a world shaped by constant decision-making. Instead of fast-paced combat, the game emphasizes moral choices and survival. Each decision pushes the story in a new direction.
At times, Geralt hunts monsters. At other moments, he must deal with locals, politics, or personal dilemmas. Because of this structure, the game features thousands of possible narrative paths. Consequently, no two playthroughs will unfold the same way.

Moreover, the framing through Dandelion’s songs adds an extra layer of personality. His retellings reshape Geralt’s actions into legends, failures, or cautionary tales.
Familiar Faces With a New Perspective

Throughout the story, players encounter familiar characters such as Yennefer, Triss, and Vesemir. However, their appearances feel different due to the bard’s perspective. This approach allows well-known relationships to be reexamined in unexpected ways.
In addition, the game introduces progression centered on Dandelion himself. By performing retellings of Geralt’s adventures outside the tavern, players solve puzzles and unlock new characters. Over time, Dandelion’s growing reputation expands the scope of the stories he tells.

As his career advances, the narrative stakes rise. Therefore, players shape not only Geralt’s fate, but also the legend built around him.
A Distinct Take on The Witcher Universe

Reigns: The Witcher blends the franchise’s moral ambiguity with the streamlined design of the Reigns series. While it moves away from action-heavy gameplay, it leans heavily into storytelling and consequence.
Because of this, the game offers a more accessible entry point, especially on mobile platforms. At the same time, longtime fans can appreciate its fresh narrative angle.

Reigns: The Witcher launches on February 25 for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. An announcement trailer is available now, offering a closer look at its tone and presentation.
