Square Enix has just announced RANBU Sangokushi Ranbu, its latest mobile game that is scheduled for a release sometime in 2019. Accompanying the announcement is a PV showcasing what players can expect from the game.
If the name sounds familiar, that is because Square Enix released the original Sangokushi Ranbu in 2013. Downloaded over 2.5mn times, the tower defence title was very popular domestically. It had you creating teams of six to fend off enemy forces, a staple for the genre. The appeal here is of course the reimagination of popular historical figures of the Three Kingdoms period as beautiful girls.
As it makes way for its successor, Sangokushi Ranbu will terminate service on 28 March 2019. Stay tuned for more info about the new game!
