Characters Sega’s mobile strategy game, Puyo Puyo!! Quest (Puyo Puyo from this point onwards), is collaborating with Gintama. Popular characters such as Gintoki, Shinpachi, Kagura and many more characters are now recruitable for a limited time only. This event will run from 12th January to 1st February 2021.

On January 8th, additional information regarding this event appeared during Puyo Puyo New Year’s Party 2021 & Gintama Collaboration Announcement Special Delivery on YouTube. The live stream, which lasted just over 80 minutes, is viewable here:

During this event, players can pull from two different gacha banners. There is the Yorozuya Gacha and Shinsengumi + Jouishishi Gacha.

The following is the list of obtainable Gintama characters during this collab:

• Gintoki Sakata
• Shinpachi Shimura
• Kagura
• Sadaharu
• Shinsuke Takasugi
• Kotaro Katsura
• Isao Kondou
• Toshirou Hijikata
• Sougo Okita
• Elizabeth

Besides the new characters, existing characters will also be part of this collaboration. Schezo, Klug, Arle, Ecolo and Lagnus will reappear as new Gintama version characters, donning costumes of characters from the series. Amongst them, Schezo, Klug and Arle are upgradeable to ★7.

Like virtually all gacha events, the game will also have a special login bonus for players. Players will receive Elizabeth upon login, and obtain Elizarisu once all login rewards are claimed.

During the run of this event, a new collaboration story is added to the game. By collecting the item New Year’s Otoshidama during the story’s quests, players can unlock Gintoki Sakata ver. Schezo, Shinpachi Shimura ver. Klug and Kagura ver. Arle.
