PS5 Exclusive Dino Shooter Code Violet Goes Gold, Delayed to January 2026

TeamKill Media has announced that its upcoming PS5 exclusive shooter Code Violet has gone gold, but the game won’t arrive as originally planned. The sci-fi action horror title, which was expected to launch in November, has been delayed to January 10, 2026.

Going gold means the game is complete and ready for release. The studio says the extra time will be used to fix remaining technical issues.

According to a statement from TeamKill Media, the delay was caused by technical problems during the certification process. The four-person team encountered issues with unlocking content for the deluxe and pre-order editions of the game. After spending weeks trying to fix these problems, the studio decided to change its approach.

Instead of delaying the game for several months to solve the entitlement issues, TeamKill Media is now releasing just one standard edition. This version will include all the bonus content that was originally planned for the deluxe and pre-order editions, including outfits, items, and other perks.

Players who already pre-ordered the deluxe edition will receive full refunds from Sony. They can then purchase the standard edition, which now includes everything that was promised in the higher-priced version.

The studio acknowledged that this decision affects their revenue but said they wanted to avoid keeping fans waiting for months. TeamKill Media is currently working with Sony to get Code Violet back on the PlayStation Store for pre-ordering. Code Violet is designed as a spiritual successor to classic dinosaur survival games and has been attracting attention throughout the year as a PS5 exclusive title.
