During the World Pokemon Ecology Society Webinar where the Pokemon Company had held a special showcase that featured various details of the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games, among one of the clips showed a new regional Diglett form – Wiglett and fans are loving it.

From the information that we could gather from the Webinar, this new regional Diglett form is called Wiglett and it is the new evolved form of it. Instead of evolving into the triplets of Dugtrio that we all know of, this new form adapts to a marine environment and is said have a different type than its normal and Alolan counterparts.

After its reveal, fans were quick to jump on the bandwagon by making fanart as well as memes of Wiglett, expressing their excitement of this new regional variant.

The reveal of Wiglett was so well received on Pokemon Twitter-sphere that it had even garnered up its own hashtag of #WiglettWednesday.

The reach of #WiglettWednesday was so big that even the official twitter account for the Vancouver Aquarium had even joined in the campaign of spreading the good word of the long lad.

This isn’t the first time where a new Pokemon that had been revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were well received by fans with the previous showcase of the games version exclusive legendaries along with the two knight Pokemon.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be launching for the Nintendo Switch on 18th November 2022.
