S-Game announced the release date for Phantom Blade Zero during The Game Awards 2025, revealing the action game will launch on September 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
The game puts players in control of Soul, an assassin working for a group called The Order. Soul is accused of killing the organization’s leader and gets injured while escaping. A healer saves his life, but the cure only works for 66 days. Players must uncover who actually committed the murder and why Soul was set up before time runs out.
Phantom Blade Zero features over 30 weapons to use, including more than 20 special weapons called “Phantom Edges” that players can combine in different ways. Defeating enemies allows players to take their weapons and learn their fighting moves.
The game’s combat style, which S-Game calls “Kungfupunk,” blends martial arts with technology. The team used motion capture technology and worked with fight choreographers from Hong Kong action cinema to create the combat system. All moves are based on real martial arts techniques.

The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and takes place in a world mixing different realities, memories, and powerful beings. Players will investigate clues and follow leads to piece together the larger conspiracy behind the murder.
