Netease Games had announced a collaboration with the globally popular Japanese mascot, Kumamon, with its MOBA, Onmyoji Arena, at the Netease Games’ Sixth Annual Product Launch. Besides the collaboration with the iconic bear, there will be other collaborations and a series of Fireworks Festival events all set to go live in Heian-kyo.
Kumamon has been a popular bringer of happiness as a nationally popular mascot in Japan loved by everyone. The Onmyoji Arena and Kumamon crossover will bring the bear over to the world of Heian-kyo for an unexpected adventure! How will his meeting with the shikigami go? Will he be bringing them joy and happiness?
Besides the happy bear, Onmyoji Arena will be having a collaboration with another Netease Games’ property, the Chinese spirit RPG card game, Legend of the Fantasy Sprites. Popular character Dai Shimei will be arriving to Heian-kyo as a new shikigami! Shuten Doji and Ibaraki Doji will receive Chinese Tang Dynasty style skins in the Cheers Series. Enjoy this fusion of styles in the arena!
Meanwhile, Suzuka Gozen will be another new SSR shikigami joining the Onmyoji Arena ranks, in the Marksman position. It is the first time both the original Onmyoji game and the MOBA game introduces a new shikigami at the same time. The former lord of Suzuka Mountain will break through limits and conquer obstacles with faith and will, surely a strong force to contend with in the arena.
Last but not least, the fireworks festival will be held on 3 July this year in Heian-kyo! Many in-game bonuses and surprises await. Enjoy a summer full of fun, and stay tuned for more!
Onmyoji Arena is part the hit Onmyoji series from NetEase. It builds on the rich character base from the original work to create a new MOBA experience. The game retains the elegant Japanese aesthetics and original voice talents to faithfully recreate Kyoto in the Heian era.
