Following the relative success of Octopath Traveler which came out on the Nintendo Switch, Square Enix has just announced Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent for the Android and iOS platforms in Japan sometime in 2019.
This free-to-play single-player RPG is set in the world of Orsterra many years prior to the events of the original Octopath Traveler. Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent boast high-quality 2D graphics and 3D CG effects that is reminiscent to that of the original. You will be able to set up a party of eight characters to partake in evolved command-based battles. For the main story itself, you will be able to experience it from the eyes of three different protagonists.
Pre-registration for the game is already up, so be sure to sign up. On 12 March 2019, Square Enix will also be accepting applicants to try out an early demo, so keep a look out for that as well.
